Hi!  Our names are Claus and Mardi Eggers.  Our farm, Eggers Acres, is a family owned and operated farm.  Our farm includes hazelnuts, walnuts, and cherries. We sell most of our produce at the farm and at local farmer's markets.  The cherries are pick-your-own and the nuts that we sell are picked fresh each year.

The original Eggers Acres was a citrus farm in south Texas started by us in 1984.  In Texas we were known for having some of the best quality and selection of citrus fuit in south Texas.  In 1994, the we decided to uproot and get out of the heat.  We  moved to Dundee, Oregon.  The farm we bought was originally owned by the Trunk family - the original family that started farming in the area.

Since buying the farm, we have not changed it much besides planting alot of cherry trees.

Our farm consists of 45 acres in the middle of wine country in the lovely Willamette Valley.  We have 18 acres of walnuts and 14 acres of hazelnuts in full production.  We do the harvesting and processing ourselves, except for the roasting.  Cherry season starts about mid-June and lasts about 3 weeks. we have sweet cherries (20 different  varieties).

The area around the farm is known as the Red Hills of Dundee.  It is a premier agricultural area located in the Willamette Valley, southwest of Portland.  The area is known for producing fine wines - but there is also a thriving small farm community in the area.  With a little knowledge and a sense of adventure, you can discover local farmers growing everything from roses to kiwi fruit.  If you are in the area - please stop by or visit us at one of the local farmer's markets.
